Our high pressure filters are manufactured to exacting European standards and conform to PED 97/CE directives. The aluminum housings are robust and can fitted with electronic external timed automatic condensate drains or intelligent level controlled systems.

Long filter element life is assured by the use of pleated cartridges with multi layer filtration media. This method of construction increases the filtration area, while the stainless steel internal & external support tubes retain the filtration media under extreme air/dirt load conditions. Filter elements are color coded to make element identification easy for operators.

The range has a maximum operating pressure of 50 Bar G with particle removal down to 0.01 micron and oil removal to 0.01ppm

The “G Series” range of inline water separators offer a cost effective method  of removing condensed water, oils and solids from a compressed air line using a cyclonic action only.

G Series are capable of handing up  to 36 mᶟ/min  with connections from ¼ to 3" BSP screwed female thread. These units can be fitted with a variety of drain options, they include Internal float type, JDM capacitance , Timed solenoid type or External float type.

These valves only open when liquids are in the bowl and close again before any expensive air is wasted to atmosphere. They pay for themselves by eliminating compresses air wastage.

These filters represent a concrete answer to the increasing demand of sterile compressed air to be employed in both high technology production processes and critical medical applications.

Compressed air can be highly contaminated with particles and micro-organisms.

The Vacuum filters are ideal for the elimination of contamination from the pump and the atmosphere.

They can be utilized in all the hospital departments, including analytical laboratories and other pharmaceutical fields.

Characteristics and Maintenance.

The Vacuum filters are made up of two main parts; the filter element and the drain flask. It is essential to ensure that the filter is mounted correctly, with the air flow passing through the filter element from outside to in.

Additionally, daily checks of the drain flask should be made and any collected liquid vented. The filter elements must be replaced on a regular basis to minimize pressure loss, with a recommended maximum life of six months.

Efficiency

Standard test methods show the VACUUM filter cartridges to have an efficiency of 99,9998%. This equates to 0,0002% penetration when tested to BS 3928, exceeding the requirements of the National Health Service model engineering specification HTM 2022

Replacement filter elements for these filter casings are manufactured in Italy and the UK to match or exceed the original specifications. Borosilicate micro fibre with pleated elements construction is used in the majority of our elements to equal or out perform the original filter elements specification.

Anti re-entrainment barriers are fitted to the majority of the replacement elements to ensure that coalesced liquids are not re-entrained into the air stream.

The colour of the covers may vary from the original suppliers colour presentation.

Stainless steel, internal & external perforated tubes retain the filter media and ensure filtration integrity under all working conditions.

Seals are supplied with each element where necessary.

Quality Standards. These replacement filter elements are manufactured in the UK to Lloyds ISO 9001 BS 5750 part 1, and in Italy to UNI 29001 (ISO 9001)

The air inlet temperature to the element affects the performance of any inline coalescing filter; care should be taken to ensure that the filters are located in the coolest operating area to ensure peak performance. The oil removal rates for carbon-activated elements assuming that these units are preceded by quality coalescing filter as specified by Artic or the original manufacturer.

Selection of Filter; simply quote the replacement filter elements part number, advise us the original manufacturers part number. Flow rates for our replacement elements normally exceed the original elements

Modern manufacturing industries require the cleanest, most reliable compressed air supply available. The air then passes through the second filtration layer, which consists of borosilicate microfibres. This allows the capture pf particles with sizes down to 0.01 micron and the formation of condensate droplets, which are conveyed to the outer coalescing layers of the cartridge. This outer barrier collects the droplets of water and oil, allowing them to run down to the bottom of the cartridge and into the filter bowl of the housing assembly. Although the compressed air element allow liquids to pass through, the retained solids eventually result in them becoming blocked.

The pleated construction of our ARS range of filters elements provides a very high surface area for the retention of the solids particles (± 4-5 times when compared to conventional rolled filter of most manufacturers); the result is an exceptionally long life & very low pressure drop for the element.
